Alih-alih ingin membela brand ekuitas mereka dan memberikan efek jera bagi pemilik akun twitter tersebut, Esteh malah menerima respon negatif dan serangan kemarahan dari netizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Semua berawal ketika @gandhoyy mencuitkan kritik tentang rasa Chizu Red Velvet, salah satu produk minuman Esteh Indonesia, yang ia nilai terlalu manis. Ia bahkan sempat menyebut jika gula yang dipakai di minuman tersebut lebih dari 3 kilo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esteh Indonesia kemudian menganggap cuitan tersebut sebagai sebuah tuduhan yang tidak berdasar dan bisa menggiring opini negatif pada produknya. Surat somasi pun dilayangkan kepada @gandhoyy yang dalam waktu singkat menyebar dan viral. Brand Evangelist adalah pelanggan yang memuji-muji brand setinggi langit berdasar pada kesukaan mereka terhadap brand tersebut. Sebaliknya, Brand Terrorist adalah mereka yang memberikan penilaian negatif pada brand. Keduanya sama-sama mengandalkan kekuatan Word of Mouth (WOM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sayangnya, negatif WOM lebih mudah menyebar ketimbang positif WOM. Hal ini menurut Yuswohady dipengaruhi oleh sifat dasar manusia yang lebih menyukai berita-berita negatif untuk disebarkan ketimbang berita positif (negativity bias). Pakar branding, Pete Blackshaw, pernah berujar jika \u201csatisfied customers tell three friends, angry customers Tell 3,000\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-media-sosial-sebagai-brand-killing-field\"><span id=\"Media_Sosial_sebagai_Brand_Killing_Field\">Media Sosial sebagai Brand Killing Field<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jika Anda perhatikan kasus-kasus atau konflik yang melibatkan konsumen dan brand saat ini lebih banyak terjadi di media sosial. Menurut Yuswohady, hal ini terjadi karena media sosial telah menciptakan The Connected Netizen. Hanya dengan smartphone, netizen secara keroyokan bisa satu suara untuk merundung, mengkritik, mencaci maki brand yang mereka anggap buruk. Dengan sedikit pemicu, media sosial bisa menjadi <em>brand killing field<\/em> atau ladang pembantaian reputasi brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Di Indonesia dalam lima tahun terakhir ini korbannya sudah banyak bahkan menimpa perusahaan besar, seperti Garuda Indonesia, Eiger, Lion Air, hingga Bukalapak. Dalam beberapa kasus netizen lebih banyak menang dan mampu memaksa brand untuk meminta maaf secara terbuka. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-digital-pr-sebagai-strategi-komunikasi-dalam-krisis-online\"><span id=\"Digital_PR_sebagai_Strategi_Komunikasi_dalam_Krisis_Online\">Digital PR sebagai Strategi Komunikasi dalam Krisis Online<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bima Marzuki, CEO Media Buffet PR Agency, menyinggung konflik yang melibatkan netizen dan brand di media sosial lebih banyak dipicu oleh cara brand yang salah dalam berkomunikasi dengan konsumen secara online. Menurutnya, brand yang bermasalah tersebut sebagian besar masih menerapkan strategi PR tradisional dalam menghadapi krisis di ranah digital. \u201cPadahal saat ini sudah berkembang ilmu digital public relation,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Digital PR merupakan strategi yang mengintegrasikan <a href=\"https:\/\/mediabuffet.co\/id\/education\/sejarah-digital-pr-ketika-public-relations-menjadi-digital\/\">PR tradisional dan digital marketing<\/a>. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh ilmu digital PR yang awalnya dikembangkan oleh praktisi digital marketing. Di luar negeri, ilmu digital PR berkembang sejak 2012-an seiring dengan perkembangan pesat internet dan dunia digital di mana brand di negara-negara maju seperti Amerika dan Eropa mulai menyadari tentang pentingnya digital presence, yaitu eksistensi mereka di ranah digital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Internet dan dunia digital mempengaruhi <em>consumers behaviour<\/em> termasuk cara mereka berkomunikasi dengan brand. Contoh paling sederhana, menurut Bima, dulu untuk menyampaikan kritik dan keluhan tentang brand, konsumen mungkin harus menempuh cara-cara seperti berkirim surat pembaca ke media massa sambil berharap brand akan membacanya. Sekarang, cukup dilakukan dengan menulis di media sosial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lalu apa yang sebaiknya dilakukan brand? Beradaptasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dalam kasus Esteh Indonesia, Bima melihat minimnya literasi digital dari brand tersebut dalam merespon keluhan konsumennya. \u201cSebelum melayangkan somasi seharusnya mereka memperhitungkan dengan matang efek yang akan ditimbulkan dengan banyak melakukan riset,\u201d ujarnya. \u201cDan dalam digital PR banyak sekali tools yang bisa digunakan untuk melakukan riset tersebut.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bima mengambil contoh <em>social listening,<\/em> yaitu sebuah aktivitas mengamati trend atau percakapan di media sosial. \u201cDengan tools ini seorang praktisi digital PR bisa memprediksi ke arah mana sebuah isu atau topik akan berkembang di media sosial didukung dengan data-data yang tersaji,\u201d jelasnya. Sehingga dengan digital PR, keputusan yang diambil lebih banyak berdasarkan pada data bukan emosi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jika saja manajemen Esteh Indonesia mau sedikit sabar melakukan riset melalui strategi digital PR, menurut Bima, isu kritikan itu tidak akan berkembang menjadi bola liar.
