On the fourth day after Eid al-Fitr, Shell and Disney teamed up to invite loyal Shell customers and hundreds of members of the Marvel community to attend the premiere of Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” at CGV Pacific Place in Jakarta.
This event marked the highly anticipated premiere of the latest film from Disney’s Marvel Studios. Customers who attended the event had the opportunity to watch “Doctor Strange” alongside Darius Sinathrya and Donna Agnesia, who are Shell Indonesia’s Brand Ambassadors.
Dian Andyasuri, Director of Mobility at Shell Indonesia, said, “Since 2005, Shell has been in Indonesia to serve as a destination for customers to meet their various needs and to deliver high-quality, exclusive, and unforgettable experiences that inspire them to achieve their aspirations. Our collaboration with Disney, realized through this event, is a gesture of gratitude to our customers who have remained loyal to Shell and are part of the Shell Indonesia family. This group screening also serves as an opportunity for Shell to strengthen ties with our customers while celebrating Eid al-Fitr.”
Today’s screening of Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” marks its Indonesian premiere. As with previous Marvel films, tickets to see Marvel movies are always in high demand. In the United States, for example, since its release last April, Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” has broken records as the fastest-selling movie of 2022.
The premiere of Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” was specially organized for Shell Indonesia’s loyal customers, including members of the Shell Go+ loyalty program, the online motorcycle taxi community, Marvel fan communities, and business partners who have made Shell gas stations their go-to destination to support their daily activities—from refueling their vehicles to meeting other needs such as food, beverages, and oil changes.
In addition to being the first to watch this year’s most anticipated film, Shell offered its loyal customers an exclusive opportunity to enjoy a unique cinematic experience featuring a special teleportation-themed design inspired by Doctor Strange—a collaboration between Shell and Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange. Invited guests also received exclusive merchandise after the screening. This screening event for Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” also served as the kickoff for an exclusive tour to New York inspired by the film—a trip for five winners of Shell’s special promotion, which runs through the end of June 2022.

In addition, Shell is also offering additional prizes to 500 of its loyal customers for the chance to win tickets to the “Marvel Studios: A Universe of Heroes” Exhibition—which is making its debut in Indonesia and will be the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia, featuring more than 60 pieces of original props, costumes, and artwork from Marvel films. The Marvel Studios: A Universe of Heroes Exhibition will be open to the public from May 21 through September 3, 2022, and will be held at City Hall, Pondok Indah Mall (PIM) 3, Jakarta (disney.id/marvel-exhibition).
“We’re introducing these new benefits and experiences so our customers can gain more than just high-quality fuel for their vehicles. We’re committed to continuing to innovate so that more customers will visit Shell gas stations as a destination,” added Dian.
To be eligible to win various raffle prizes, Shell customers must register via the Shell Go+ app and collect points earned from fuel purchases, oil change services, shopping at the Shell Select convenience store, or by making online transactions through Shell’s platforms on GoFood, Grab Mart, Tokopedia, Shopee, and Blibli.com.
In addition to the chance to win the sweepstakes, customers can also redeem their Shell Go+ points for exclusive, limited-edition merchandise from the Marvel Studios film “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” or exchange them for discounts on fuel, lubricants, Shell Select products, or Shell merchandise, all of which can be viewed through the Shell Go+ app.
