Jakarta, November 9, 2020 – The shareholders of PT Multimedia Nusantara (TelkomMetra), through a General Shareholders’ Meeting held by written proxy on September 29, 2020, appointed Niam Dzikri as TelkomMetra’s President Director, effective October 1, 2020.
As TelkomMetra’s CEO, Niam Dzikri faces challenges that differ from those of most company leaders. While most companies are focusing on survival, Niam Dzikri will focus on achieving healthy profitability for the 18 subsidiaries and/or business units within the TelkomMetra Group. Not only that, this business leader—who has been active in the telecommunications and B2B IT sectors for more than 25 years—is currently preparing new revenue drivers for the company. “Ensuring business profitability amid the COVID-19 pandemic and economic recession is a challenging task, as is creating new businesses by shrewdly seizing opportunities. But I believe that if we don’t give up and are willing to adapt, nothing is impossible,” said Niam Dzikri, CEO of TelkomMetra.
To achieve profitability, Niam Dzikri began by conducting a fresh and more in-depth assessment of the financial performance of all 18 business units and subsidiaries using a dashboard monitoring technology known as the Financial Management System Dashboard. This technology makes it easier for the board of directors to conduct accurate, real-time evaluations. In addition to monitoring the financial performance of the entire group, this dashboard is equipped with a “What-If Analysis” feature that can generate simulated financial statements based on actual data, which are used as estimates or projections for future business growth.
In addition to the monitoring dashboard, in the second half of 2020, TelkomMetra also conducted a Product Profitability Assessment to produce a comprehensive analysis of product performance in terms of profitability and productivity. This assessment also analyzes each product’s contribution to total revenue, product lifecycle, a Pareto analysis of clients’ contributions to total revenue, the product’s positioning in the business landscape, and whether the product is part of the Telkom Group’s strategic capabilities. At the end of this assessment process, each TelkomMetra subsidiary will receive recommendations for new business strategies. Thus, he can determine the next effective strategy to develop TelkomMetra’s dozen business units.
Entrusted with the responsibility of leading a sub-holding company that oversees financial management, shared services, strategic investments, Go-to-Market alignment for non-connectivity businesses, and serves as the business line lead for digital businesses, Niam Dzikri will effectively orchestrate the business units and subsidiaries to achieve maximum business performance.
Prior to serving as CEO of TelkomMetra, Niam Dzikri was CEO of PT Finnet Indonesia from 2015 to 2018, and subsequently served as CEO of PT Infomedia Nusantara from 2018 until September 2020.
While leading Infomedia, this graduate of the Master of Management in Electrical Engineering program at the Bandung Institute of Technology successfully led Infomedia to a 30 percent increase in net profit and a rise in total revenue of more than 10 percent over the past two years.
The implementation of business strategies that are highly flexible and responsive to challenges appears to be one of his key strengths. For example, Infomedia’s strategy focuses on products and solutions related to the digitization of business processes to help companies embark on digital transformation through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) services based on omnichannel solutions and Shared Services—solutions designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of back-office operations.
“Whether there’s a pandemic or not, businesses will certainly continue to face challenges. However, technology can help us find solutions, and I’m pleased that TelkomMetra has done just that—helping companies undergo digital transformation, a crucial step that is key to business success today,” said Niam Dzikri.
